Adobe is launching CS5 in the next little while and they have a countdown on their site. I love this sort of thing and from what I’ve seen of the new Photoshop it’s insane!
I think they missed the mark just a little bit with the countdown they made on their site: http://cs5launch.adobe.com/ instead of using transparent png’s to mask the background image they used numbers that have the knock out effect incorporated. It’s subtle but it’s these subtle sophistications that make a difference.
So I made the above countdown as an example of what I think they should have done … it’s reusing the same code from my Formula One Grand Prix countdown but the CSS for the images is a little bit different.
