MovieSet.com is comprised of a fan-facing movie site and a back-end Production Toolkit that allows Producers to organize and run the movie making process.
This is the Production Tools dashboard. Producers can navigate to every section of the MovieSet.com Production Tools. Producers can assign Cast and Crew Members particular privileges that grant or restrict access to certain parts of the MovieSet.com Toolkit. I added visual elements to the buttons and created the mark up for this page.
The Production Schedule screen allows the Producer to set the dates for each phase of production: Development, Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production. As well as setting Days Off and Travel Days. I designed and created the mark up for this page.
Once the production schedule is set Users can create Call Sheets for each day of the Production Phase. Users can issue Alerts, Wrap, and, Edit Callsheets from this screen.
When I started at MovieSet.com their Corporate site was an unusable tool. It was poorly organized, didn't reflect the company brand and was hard-coded HTML pages that were difficult to update. I redesigned the corporate site to showcas what MovieSet.com is and it's value to the movie industry. It's built with WordPress and it easy to update. I designed and coded every part of the Corporate site.
One of the things I really like on the web is video, especially for tutorials. The key aspect of the new Corporate site was the creation and implementation of the MovieSet.com tutorial videos. This teaches the User in a visual and engaging way what MovieSet.com is, it's key features, and benefits.
MovieSet's Production basic Toolkit is free with addition value added services. We needed a visual way to represent this. This table is connected to the back-end of the CMS and is easy to modify. I also implemented PayPal as our payment system.
We have a large team of professionals in the film and business industries. On the old Corporate site they were segmented but I felt that with an intelligent filtering system it better represented our multifaceted strategy to combine everyone on one page.
For our contact page I made sure that essential information was at the forefront and non-essential information was non-existent.
One of my first tasks at MovieSet was to re-establish the MovieSet Callsheet - our newsletter. I designed and developed this newsletter template for use with Campaign Monitor and have successfully re-established our newsletter as a weekly and engaging part of our brand.
I adhere to principles of simplicity; clear and effective communication comes stems from legibility. MovieSet.com was confusing it's Users at the log in / sign up stage so I redesigned the screen in a more simple and organized fashion.
If there is a 3rd party application that is proven successful and serves the purpose of what I need I'm always interested in trying them out instead of building something from scratch. I'd heard great things about Get Satisfaction and implemented it on the MovieSet Corporate Site - it has been an excellent way to collect User feedback.
